It's been a while since I've posted on mud (2005, I think) I've been way too busy I guess...However, Over the last 3 weeks, we have aquired 4 new FJ25s. Including the next consecutive vin to my own 25 that you guys have seen. I know I owe it to the 20 series to post about them

I don't have all of the pictures on this computer so be patient with me and I will get them all posted up.

I need to spend the time to get them on the registery and the count the 25s thread too...I know.

I have one question. As far as anyone here knows, when was the last FJ25 built?

Thanks, We just drove 11350, which I just drug to Utah last night, over to the Land Cruiser Museum so they could all visit each other. Very cool experience.

I have to admit that I don't know as much about 25s as I should. It seems like they didn't follow the rules as well as the 40 series.
First, 11350 has a different air cleaner, and no intake vent on the apron. When did Toyota stop the intake screen? The hood latches aren't back as far as the other 25s to make room for the vent either. I've seen some without the screen, but it seemed like the latches were farther back like ones with it.

No intake meant it had a paper element air cleaner. The latches would be forward. Most FJ25s here had the oil bath with the intake. I guess Toyota figured us rich gringos could pay for the optional oil bath air cleaner. Most FJ25s that went to Australia had the paper element air cleaner no intake. Makes sense I'm sure driving across the outback was on paved roads with very little dust.

Ah...makes sense. How about the 1962 date? I didn't know they were sold that late. I've got a 1962 FJ40 too. They would look great restored and displayed together.

I have never heard of any FJ25 being made after 1960. I know some were sold as late a 62 but those all were 1960 production.

You could post pictures of the 62 FJ40. Hard top or softtop?

9-FJ25-11350 Dated 1962

Made in '59 titled and sold in '62. ;)

When you get a chance post up pictures and I'll get them in the registry and picture thread. The other thing we're trying to track is the VIN plate color, engine number and model designation.

Are these in addition to your previous 25? You're almost catching up to some of us . :flipoff2:
