4.0L 2OH Alternator

Does anyone have or know where I can find some helpful tips on replacing the alternator on an HJ61 4.0L 2OH diesel engine? It's been pretty hard finding help or advice since bringing the cruiser to the states. any and all advice welcome. Thanks!!

12 or 24v. surely it can be rebuilt?

I had no luck with a rebuild however I did have luck on ebay from australia. Expensive of course, AND I had to stay on the guy, but eventually got it.

It's a 24v and all the places I talked to here in NC wouldn't touch it because it is a Japanese import

I had the same luck with the rebuild but I have the alternator from eBay and it came in record time being that it's from Australia. What I really need is a manual or instructions on how to replace it.

Should be visible on the top of your alternator or fender. Mine has external reg is s ask do very much non original from PO. You could likely look on toyodiy if it’s been hacked.
