is there someone i can contact brefore i head out early thur AM so i can get the camping permit before i get there???

if so please PM me the info incase i get a little lazy with checking the LC site...will probably be a busy week at work

You buy the daily permit at a kiosk at the entrance to the park. Last year a lady in a lawn chair manned the entrance and collected the fee.

There is no camping permit...you pay your money at the kiosk either at the entrance...or the shower house in parking lot on right side of road just before then...or one of the stores in area. You pay to enter the park...whether you camp overnight is up to you...but have to pay every day or buy a pass.

Can you guys post up a time when the boil will start on Saturday? I might be able to come up for the festivities if I am free that evening. It will only take me 1.5 hours to get to the beach and I will probably head back home late.

Does anyone know what I do about a pass if I come in right at dark? Do I still need to get one if I am going to be leaving before morning?

Thanks,
Jeremy

Depends on the weather and what everyone is doing that day; everyone stays on the beach and doesn't do a day trip it will be earlier in the evening.

The kiosk, if working, will vend a daily pass, otherwise get it the next morning.

Everyone bring a couple of sticks of wood each; rather than load one vehicle down. (if you have some laying around)

Thanks

I'm trying to leave out Thursday afternoon to stake out the end of the inlet with the others. So, this means I will not be at Sparks.

i should be arriving on the beach between 12-2

be safe and have fun....weather should be outstanding.

get belmont to drive through the water RIGHT IN FRONT of our camping area....I bet he cant do it!!!! :D :D

Yeah, if he shows up.

Hey, I have already attended as many UC meetings as I did LC. I am still trying to make it for the cookout. I am spending some time this weekend with my father-in-law since he is just finishing up his 2nd round of chemotherapy. Hope to see you there, but no I will not be sinking the Taco in that saltwater lake.

Oh...so it was just the us (LC) and not the whole state?

Hope your father-in-law is doing well, maybe we'll see you Saturday. I'll show you how to get around that little puddle. :D

Are we staying the same place as last year? I didn't see any address or directions in the threads, but I saw the link to last year's event. Just want to make sure I am heading the right place!

Do you guys running FJ Cruisers air down for the drive or are you ok with 4wd and a rear locker? Just didn't know if I needed to throw the air tank in the back just in case.

Jeremy

So is anyone meeting up @ Sparks tomorrow still?

I'm planning to be there between 10:00 and 10:30

Alrighty sir! Parking is pretty rough as a lot of remodeling is going on so we have to try and stay out of the way as best we can. There may be some parking when we get there. If anyone needs to reach me my number is 843-580-2121 or 843-318-6805 either one.

Jamie

We'll be heading straight to the beach. Too hard to get them up early and have them happy the whole car ride. We should be there in the middle of the day.
