Hi

I`ve heard that cyllinder head oil pasage plug likes to fail. My one is still good. Are there any known ways to prevent this goddam plug to fell off?

Best regards

Drill it, tap it & plug..

There is some really good information about the procedure on the 3FE board and in the 3FE Board archieves on birfield.com. Do a search in the archieve for "galley plug," and you will find lots of info.

I cannot find anything.... could you gave me any links to that topic ?

Best regards

The plug is near the #5 spark plug. It needs to be tapped out, then replaced with a threaded plug. Or some guys on the 3FE list have put a tack weld or JB Weld over it. Not sure of those results. If you sign up for the 3FE group at Yahoo, then go look in the fixes/files area, you'll see the procedure and a photo of the plug.
