Hi! I need a 89462-20040 cold start injector time switch for my FJ80. It is right below the neck on the thermostat housing. New they are $100 so I would like a used one to be able to put money into other parts of the truck.

I have a few. $20 delivered. I have one suggestion. Make sure the -20040 is really what you need. I want to make sure the 80-series didn't use something different than the FJ62. Check the connector.

Mine looks like the one in your picture, but I wasn't able to confirm the part number on the brass. From what I have read 60's and 80's used them from 1988 to 1992 for the 3FE. Here's some pictures I was able to get:

@pappy was able to help me.

I might still have another. Hit me PM and I'll check when I get home. I just need to know if it's a square connector or round.

Let me know if you find a thermo cold start switch, can't find one for my 88 fj62 3fe
Square (88): brown, 89462-20010 - I have one
Round (89+): black, 89462-20040 - I have two

I totally need that square one! Let me know. I've tried ordering them in the past and they don't end up fitting, so that would be amazing if you could help me out.

Square on the left.
Round on the right.

Hi pappy..... I would like to buy a round one from ya... So happy I found this post today... This time of the year leaves my pockets drained and your price is affordable to me
I'm new here... How do y'all make transactions? PayPal?

@Two 3FEs - I bought a replacement from ebay that tested 40 ohms for both STA-STJ and STA-ground. My original switch tested 80 ohms for both. HTH
