What I want to do is build a 2f-e and put it in my 91 fj80. Just trying to figure out what flywheel/flex plate to run. I know the 60 had a manual and the 80 is a auto. Just was hoping the 80 flywheel would bolt to the 60 motor.

A FJ62 flex plate bolts up to the 2F crank. a FJ80 flex plate has a different diameter bolt hole. If you get a 62 flex plate (and torque convertor? Not sure if flex plate to convertor changed) it will bolt up. If you search 2FE in thread titles within the 80 section there is a guy who has done it.

Regarding the bell housing. I have a '91 (80 series 3FE) in my 60. I installed an H55F using my 2F flywheel (drilled out the holes a bit for the larger 3FE flywheel hardware) and the 3F bell housing. My stock crossmember fits perfectly as did my drive shafts since it was a later 85.
