Hello all,

First visit here, feels pretty comfy. Looks like tons to learn. I'll start with a question. I'm looking for the best source for a clutch kit for a 3B, 82 bj60. My parts guy quoted $380 + $20 for flywheel machining. How's that compare? Any thoughts? Thx.

Cheers,

Mac

I've had my clutch remanufactured. Took the old pressure plate and clutch disk into the remanufacturers and for $150 the pressure plate was resurfaced and the clutch disk relined. You'd still need to redo the flywheel on your own.
If the $380 + 20 includes labour to install go there RIGHT NOW.

Yep that's a jobber price. How's it stack up? Clutch is a dynapack I believe. Anyone in Vancouver do clutch resurfacing? Thx.

The place I went to is just off Clark Drive around 4th Ave or so. It's called Gordon Rae Clutch Rebuilders.

DV Aldous is awesome. I forgot about them. I've had shoes re-lined and bought other brake parts from them. My dad has dealt with the same lady there since the early 1960's. Thanks for the reminder about their clutch work.
