My rad is spraying all over my engine!!

Where is the cheapest place to get one. I don't need a 4 core just stock seems more than enough.
What about recoring anyone done that?

Thanks

yup,

a buddy had one re-cored for a 42 last summer, turned out fine, and cheaper than a new one.

same thing would go for a 60 IMHO. should be, like a million shops in vic that could do it, just can't recall how much.

hope that helps
crusty

I have one from a BJ-60. I am in Calgary Alberta its used but never leaked.

find a radiator shop and rebuilt it... less than 250 $ here in MTL (4 cores) . You can find the same in your place.

Ok so I went with a recore and it cost $358. It now is a 4-core and new tanks so pretty much it is a custom rad, The guy brazed in a brass cock so no more useless plastic. Got it done in Duncan BC at Industrial Rad. Very nice older couple had it done in a day ,so quick too. Looks good fits good cools great. A little cheaper we'll see if its worth it to go non-oem.

Those rad rebuild guys must get some serious poisoning from the soldering. Just doing my typical soldering I find you are breathing way to much of it.

I had a rad rebuilt for about 300 for a GM a while back. Basically it is a new rad.

358 $, 300$, wow... that pretty expensive in the west of canada ! I rebuild two rad and the first was 150$ and the second one (other place but not better) 235$... you should move here in Québec ;)
