350 Chevy engine anyone?

My dad is selling a '79 Suburban with a strong running 350 in it. Is anyone interested? I have no idea what it would even be worth. Here's the catch, you gotta take the whole Suburban if you are interested in the engine!

If you were closer i would have gave you 500 for it and come got it this week. I'm just north of cincinnati so it is a little too far for what it is...

FWIW, that is 3/4ton running gear. If it had a stickshift, it would be the perfect suburban.

Hell I would love to have it, Cash is tight right now though. My 62 is no longer smoggable after 2012 then the SBC will be going into it.

yea if it would have been closer to me i would have been all over it. Cleveland is just a little too far for me, for what it is.

I think it said on ehhbay that it is an auto, probably a turbo 400.

Being a 3/4T, it oughta be a 350 truck block (4bolt mains), TH400, the sad NP203 full-time t-case (which is happy to be the front half of a 203/205 doubler), 14 bolt rear, D44 front.

I don't think it's a D60 front because the truck does not have hydro-boost brakes, so it's not super heavy duty.

I know, Just looking at it makes me happy for the day that the 3FE in the 62 goes in the 40 and a SBC goes in the 62.
