Hi

I wondered how much lift you need to fit 35" tires (35x12,5)

I currently have 33" and OME suspension, and no rubbing on my old "83 HJ60

I am planning a 1" bodylift and 3" HFS lift spring set, and I hope this will be enough?

Hope you have some thoughts about it :)

I've got about 5 inches of lift and i am running 35's comfortably. I only get a little rubbing up front at full compression in a sharp turn. Other than that it is fine.

I don't remenber the name but someone on board have a big green 60 that clear the 35's with no problems at all. let's wait him to write

Why change out to HFS springs? Something wrong with you OME?

I agree with Gehn get teh extended shackles and youll be golden.

search ont eh shackle reversal. I hate it when people tell me that, but there are TONS of threads about it. Advantages and disadvantages.

From what I can gather I think a SR is best done when you do a SOA. I am going to be using longer shackles to gain my lift.

Unless you have $ to burn I would stick with the OME and its a better product from what I hear. (Might be name recognition, I do not know)

The $ you save by sticking with the OME spend on Sliders. Or a front bumper or winch. Post some pics of your ride so we can see whats already been done. Biggest advice I can tell you is to plan out what you want to do and stick to it, even if you see bargains on other parts. (Speaking from personal experience here) You will save lots of time and $!!

Sorry... found some stuff in one of the threads

I think i´ll stick with the longer shackles, and 1" bodylift

I´ll see if I can post some pictures over the weekend...

My girlfriend just bend my ARB bumper and som other stuff.. (drove into a tree)

so I´ll have to fix that first..

But thanks for all your help

Regards Dan

My SO with factory springs netted just over 6" of lift and I have no problem with 35's. They won't rub no matter how hard I articulate.

Another bonus of the SR is the fact that when your suspension compresses, the tire moves towards the rear of the vehicle where there is more room for the tire to tuck up into the wheelwell. This is a bonus because most people rub their tires in the front of the wheelwell.

I thought with chakle reversar the tire with a obstacle move backwards and just in my case I need to " cut " some part behind my 37" coz in a full compresion ( in a hole for example ) my tire rub in my fender ..
