my 13BT, slightly different beast than a 3BT, will pull hills great with 35s and 4.11s...

You will notice a difference if you put heavy 35's on. I noticed a huge difference when I took the 35" SSR's and 16" steel rims off the 60 and put on some 15" alum rims with 35" Wild Country's. There iss almost as much difference when I take the 35" SSR's off the BJ74, and put on 255/85?R16's.

Heavy tire/wheel combos use a lot more energy to get going and to stop then an equivalent diameter light tire/wheel combo.

My 70 series SWB (3F/5 speed/ 4.11's) worked perfect with 33's (MTR). On flat in High Range no problems. Hills - pretty muck OK except the occasional change down to 4th.
Low Range - just the right amount of power on tap - with 35's would need to change R&P probably to 4.56's.

However saying this - I've just installed Marks Adaptors latest taper t'fercase gearset.
High-range 8% underdriven and low range 50% underdriven (3.03 from orig 2.02).

Opionion so far on 33's -
High-Range - Amazing what a mere 8% reduction makes, - Can use 5th from anywhere around 60-70km/h. lots more power - my feeling is that 35's will be just right as is a bit low with the 33's.

Low range - Yup.!!
