I just installed a set of BFG AT 33x10.5's. I loved my BFG MT's in mud, rocks and deep snow, but they are lousy on packed snow/ice. So far these ATs are noticeably better. Hakkas are by far the best snow tire i've had, but for $250 on CL these ATs were too good to pass up. Plus, I doubt hakkas are available in a +33" size.
I currently have the 285/75 16 BFG TKO at's.. In deep snow they are great , I can drive through 4" drifts from state plows no problem.
In slush and ice they suck. They pack up and makes the cruiser worse to drive than the FWD minivan with all seasons.... Also when the temp goes below 0 they loose a lot the the braking even in the dry from the tire compound getting hard.
