33" mining tires

Hello, i am looking for some 33" tires that they use on the mining trucks. I remember a thread a while back that had some for cheap. Just wondering if anyone knows where i can get some? thanx
 
they are only 31"s. Talk to Ens industrial in Saskatoon.

I think Crushers has a bunch in Calgary.
 
I wouldn't run them on a Cruiser. Maybe on a heavy tow rig. Just a couple weeks ago I had to pull a Unimog out of a couple of mudholes. He was running the "mine" tires which were on the rig when he bought it surplius from some Canadian mining operation. Might as well have been running street tires. Worthless on the trails.

Pizza cutters but pretty tough.

For what it's worth: the local gypsum mines around here use Firestone Destination M/T tires exclusively on their light trucks.

Actually, what convinced me to buy them was that the local mines use them exclusively. Says alot about the tire. The tire rack reviews were also convincing.

PS, they do come in 15" sizes. 33x12.5 and 31x10.5. Take your pick!
 
We didn't get any pictures of the first time he needed assistence. It was just a slighly bumpy section covered with a thin layer of slippery clay/mud By the time my buddy jumped out with the camera I had already put a strap on the mog and given a yank and a pull to get him onto the drier ground.
We were waiting for some friends who were supposed to meet us at the trail junction where this happened. Later on we caught up to the mog again as it was stuck in the muck shown in these pictures. No snatch strap this time. We tried to winch him backwards but ran the rear axle into a clay bank under the muck. We re-rigged and winched forward (double lined off of my '40 and the ford that was traveling with the mog). He was stuck so badly that when he sucked air from the tilted fuel tank and stalled the diesel we were just bending stuff trying to pull him forward with the tires solidly against the bank on the front end now too. That's why the hood is off in the pictures. We had to bleed the injection system and rig an alternative fuel route with a siphon hose I had in the rig so that we could get his wheels spinning. This way they at least tried to climb the bank as we winched him out.

In the pictures, it would not have mattered much what tires he had (short of full on tractor tires). But in the first stuck even a set of plain jane MTs would have gotten him through.
