I have a dilemma.

Since my wife wrecked my 4runner I have had time to think.

I don't think I want to hardcore rock crawl anymore. My wife and I have another bun in the oven and I won't have time to devote for both raising our kids and working on two rigs.

I want something I can drive mon-fri for work then on Saturday head to Moab, Black Bear Pass in Colorado, the beach in Galveston etc with the family in the back.

I'm thinking armor and 35"s with the Marlin Crawler low Gear set would be a good setup.

Current suspension is shot so it's getting a lift either way.

Can I do it with a 100 series with 240k on the clock?

I drive a lot for work but have a fuel card so I don't I'm not concerned about mileage. Longevity and durability are my biggest worries.

Working on basic maintenance list now to get it up to snuff. Inner tie rod ends and timing belt will get knocked out in the next few weeks.

Next is lift and the big cliff hanger.

I either commit to the brand new Fierce Attitude 35"s I have sitting on the wrecked 4runner and regear the transfer case or buy 285/75E16s and stick to the smaller size.

I'd stick with the 285s due to the added driveline wear on a higher mileage rig. Especially if you're driving it daily. You can go most places and do 95% of anything. 315s look cool but 285 are a good fit on a 100 as well. IMHO, you'll be happier and do more wheeling and less repair/maint.

Keep your 35s for the harder stuff and get some 285 Ats for daily duty :)
