Hey guys ,
Just figuring out my tire size , I would like to be a bit bigger than 285/75R17 , doing Nitto Ridge Grapplers .there state size is 33.86 but mounted 32.50 .
Any one running 315/70r17 stated size in grappler is 34.41 , was told it may only be 33.50 mounted .

I'd need to re-measure to confirm but I run 285/75R17 and inflated to 44 psi it's about 33.5" IIRC when off the vehicle. 32.5 seems small, unless you're measuring it on the vehicle with the weight of the vehicle bearing down on the ground.

All tires diameters are calculated at max stated PSI, so all tires will run smaller than stated unless you fully inflate them.

Also, identical spec tires will have slightly different "final" diameters due to things like the lug depth, which is in part why a 285/70R17 BFG KO2 runs smaller than a 285/70R17 Nitto RG.

All that said, I think you'll have issues getting a 315-wide tire to fit an LC without rubbing, so if you go that route let us know what tire offset you use and what you end up doing to reduce interference.

With RW and 1.25 Spider spacer would put my offset at around 18mm . Just going to run BP51 lift . I was hoping to squeeze a little wider tire , I mostly running sand out here in PA/NJ I have the New Jersey pines is a big sand box , wider tire is better .
The Nitto Ridge in 315 is suppose to be 12.5 wide .

That offset should clear the KDSS bar.

At that tire size, it may create a couple other trouble spots you'll want to watch
- Body mount, may need a body mount chop to clear
- Clearance pinch weld on body behind mud flap
- Upper fender, may have trouble tucking that size tire on full compression. May need to roll the fender, or do a 1/2" bodylift.

Front should be fine I have a TJM T13 front bumper . I am a former body shop owner. , body mount chop is no big deal .
I have made a few sets of body lift spacers in the past , that may not be a big deal . Stock body bolts are long enough to be reused with 1/2 lift . more than that you get into fan rad , shift linkage gets more work than its worth .

^Awesome. Looking forward to the transformation into beast mode

The middle option is a 305/70r17 in Ridge basically same height as 285/75 at 33.86 only difference is its 12.24 wide vs 11.24 its a inch wider over all , 1/2 inch each side .

That offset should clear the KDSS bar.

I'll take that bet.

My 285/75R17 Nitto RGs (33.8") hit the KDSS bar and the passenger side sway bar at full lock. I'm on +25 offset; I don't think 1/4" additional offset will resolve it, especially if going from an 11.5" to a 12.5" wide tire. They will likely clear the KDSS under regular driving, but expect to contact it when parking.

KDSS relo kit is the answer for that though
