Beno and Cruiser Dan! I just wanted to thank them for their help on the front end rebuild for the 80.
Some good Ashworth carnage was had from a seized outer bearing on the DS. It went, melted the spindle, hosed the drive flange, welded the caliper, and snapped the birfield. This was a project for later in the summer, but was somewhat expedited on its own!
Cruiser Dan got me all set up with the parts and lent a hand and gave some instruction. Beno spent several hours wrenching and teaching me how to do this NASTY job and making sure it was right. Greg even stopped by for a few hours to make sure we on track.
As usual, the cruiser community has helped tremendously and reminded me why I drive these trucks. The trucks are good, but it's the people that make Land Cruisers great.
