Hi guys,

I usually hang around in the 60 or diesel section, but now i have a small problem with my 90 series landcruiser.
When the truck has been standing for more then 2 days the engine sounds horribly on startup :crybaby:.I suspect the oil filter has a defect back valve wich causes it to drain slowly. When i start the truck every day then there is no problem with engine shaking and rattling.:)
Are there any more back valves in this engine to hold the oil or is there just the one in the oil filter??.
Will change the oil filter this weekend to see if it makes some difference.

Thanks for your insight on this hopefully small issue.

Use only a genuine Toyota oil filters - they are as inexpensive as any other, but at least meet a decent standard for performance.

I run Mobil one, Wix, or Napa gold, filters with out any issues, 175k on my 3.4
