2L-TE owners - how many blocked egr?

Mine is removed also. Worst thing the EGR does is mix the PCV oil vapor to gum up the intake manifold, valves and even piston tops. Definitely wroth getting rid of.
 
I just blocked my EGR. Haven't driven much since then, and I upgraded my cooling fan and removed both throttle plates at the same time so I can't tell how much difference just the EGR makes, but the throttle plates make a noticeable difference in low end torque. I removed the PCV a while ago because I didn't want it dumping oil vapor into my new turbo.
 
Yes. Basically it makes the intake flow WAY better at low rpm's. It was really easy to do, and I am very happy with the results. As far as I know, the throttle plates are only there to make the EGR system work right, so it makes sense to remove them if you are deleting the EGR system.
