Finally making progress on turbocharger replacement on my LJ-70. I previously installed an EGT probe without removing the turbo, With the turbo off I was able to clean it up and increase the depth a bit but I am still concerned that the probe itself isn't in the actual exhaust stream. The probe is too short to extend out of the collar (they both came from Spruce aircraft supply as a set) so I assume that this is how it is supposed to be? The collar is flush with the inside of the intake and the end of the probe is flush with the end of the collar. It never registered more than 1000 degrees before this latest teardown, which also made me suspect it was too shallow. How does this look to ya'll?
Thanks!
