Started her up late this afternoon & took her for a spin around the block. Turbo seemed to be spinning ok, but nothing spectacular. So I headed home and adjusted the fuel screw out one turn, and wow what a difference!!
I took it up a hill that I would normally just make it up in 3rd gear, and it sailed up in 4th gear still gaining at the top. Can't wait to try it with a couple of ton on the trailer!! But I think I will wait till I've fitted the EGT guage before I push it too hard.
I just had a rough work out of costs, approx NZ$340 for all the bits (not counting the amount the guy who welded the broken housing is going to charge me) and about 12 hours of my time to make flanges and fit the whole thing. Here's some pics of the job.
