I would take the oil pan and side covers. Could you send a pic of the pan

Hi Gary,

I'll try and take a picture of the oil pan in the next day or two. The block is sitting on it, so I will need to get the engine hoist out. it's aluminum, and the underside has been repaired (by previous owner) with aluminum checker plate - cleanly welded.

PM sent on the pulley.

I've been following your threads for sometime and I'm sorry to see your 2H take a turn.

Having a similar vehicle, I sympathize. Here's a couple pictures of y troopie on an outing to the Sunflower mine in Arizona last weekend:

Henry
do you have a vacuum pump ?
and will the resevoir work on a lhd ?
my 1H conversion needs some vacuum for the brake booster

thanks

Sorry no vacuum pump.

The vacuum reservoir tank is essential and for the H line of engines needs to be located on the right hand side of the chassis (otherwise it is in the way of the exhaust pipe).

I think you will need to locate a reservoir in Australia, or try and adapt a 60 series reservoir (smaller and mounts in the engine bay) to fit. You'll also need to wire in the pressure switch on the reservoir into your brake light warning circuit.

thanks Henry
there isn't much room left to put anything in the engine compartment
i think i need to relocate the 2 battery's and take a look at the smaller 60 series reservoir, still need a vacuum pump/alt.

again thanks
Dick

hey do you have enough parts to build a 2h?
I'd say I have a 95% complete engine, in a few pieces. The head is off but not disassembled, and the crank, cam, block, and pistons are all still as a unit. I have the rocker cover, oil pan, side covers, intake manifold, water pump, timing case cover, and oil cooler jacket, all in fine condition. I believe the only missing parts are the push rods. They would need replacing along with the rocker arms which are shot. Apparently OEM rocker arms are not too expensive out of Australia - like $25~30 a piece.

I also have a gasket set, 95% complete, though the head gasket in that set is incorrect for this engine.

I'll sell the lot for $500. PM if interested, and thanks for your question.

24v AC Pump for 2H?

24v AC Pump for 2H?
Well, by chance I do have a 24v. a/c compressor for 2H. Came off a JDM import with only 133,000 km on the truck, so it is in mint condition. The a/c clutch is also in perfect condition.

I was going to keep the compressor and fit a 12v. clutch to it...and I am willing to sell it for $350, which includes the clutch, plus shipping.

watch out apocalypsegrrrl... his may be 24 volt. You may need a BJ60 one which were 12 volt in Canada. The HJ60's were 24 volt in Canada. Compare PN's...

Also you could take your edic into an electronic repair shop and see if they can spot the damage. A generic part may be able to be fitted to your edic modual.

I have two EDIC fuel control relays, both are 12v. One is complete from the relay on out to the EDIC motor, and the relay is part number 28590-57010. The other is the EDIC fuel relay with all the wiring attached, part number 28590-56090.

EDIT: the 28590-56090 relay has sold.

"...No, I didn't get it because it was 12 volt and I need 24. I think SOR had a used 12 volt last I looked"

I can also get a hold of a 24v. relay if anyone is interested.

Here are pictures of what I have on hand at the moment:
