No , they stepped it. They heated up the dowels and beat on them which cracked the side at each hole. Then tried to weld it and grind the welds and left it to thin. Crazy.
wow. many years ago I sourced a brand NEW toyota flywheel that just needed surface cleaned. It had been on a shelf for many years. I could have done it with sand paper but local place said they could take .001 or 2 off. Called said it was done and I go back and kid said man I had to take .06 off to get rid of the step.

A shop in Warrenton. They are handling it though. Going to grab some money from them this morning for a used one I'm picking up today.
That’s good they are doing that at least. That’s an honest move.
