Brown man came in last Wednesday and dropped 5 Nitto Terra Grapplers. Well, I installed them today at the base auto hobby shop. The truck looks taller with these tires and I can't wait to install the OME lift waiting in the garage.
Bought these tires from Discount tire direct for $850 shipped that includes the road hazard certificates and free chrome valve stems. Then I spent another $53 bucks for mount and balance, tire disposals and 4 hours spent at the lift/stall inside the auto hobby shop. So all in all ain't bad for $903 bucks for 5 tires.

Man, I was exhausted demounting the old Michelin tires and then mount, balanced and install these babies, they are heavy. At least I learned how to install tires, now I know what those tire bubbas are going through at tire stores.

Man that rig is begging for a lift....Looks good though.. What do they come out to in tire diameter, 34's?

They are 33.2 tire diameter. Yeap, it's really begging for a lift. Thanks.

those are my tires as well... you will like them a lot. i cant wait for some snow this year to see how they handle.

good looking-"good" smelling too but that should get better with time

They got good reviews and they are aggressive looking AT tires that's why I picked them among other AT tires.

LOL! they smell like crap while they were stored in the garage. I got to roll the windows down while they were in the back of the truck on my to the hobby shop. It was freaking cold though.

So, what tire pressure you guys run this babies for a daily driver? Is 35 PSI good enough for this bad boys? How often do you rotate them?

You should be running 38 psi minimum and around 40-42psi depending on your load. This is because you have gone from a P metric to LT tire.

They are great in the snow!

Lift it and remove those running boards and it will look tricked:cheers:

i have been way impressed w/ those tires off road, for an at. looks good, thats the size im tryin to get my brother to go with prelift as well; any rubbing issue around town on the pavement?

I'm running 295/75R16 M/Ts on my truck. I measured mine at 33 3/4"...

I was surprised to find they didn't rub, even with no lift. Of course I'm lifted now anyway :D.

I think it's a great size - largest you should go without regearing.

Those are NICE. I chinced on a set of 285 75 16 Dueler AT RH-S Hummer take-offs that I'm pleased with. I asked the tire pressure question as well and was told by someone who is running my tires (which are LT tires as well) that they maintain 35 psi with good long-term results. I hope I'm not outta line here or high-jacking (I have searched for pressure info without luck), but can anyone shed light on the right pressure to use?

Cheers

I've got 295s on mine (Hankook Dynapro MTs) and I was able to wiggle the spare so that it tucked up a lot more than your has in the picture. The rear of my spare is flush with the factory tow hitch (if that makes sense). Anyways, if you loosen your spare, move it around a little and then retighten it, you may be able to tuck it in a little better to give you some more ground clearance. If you do hit the trails, make sure you take it off and throw it in the trunk so you don't bash it on anything.

I have that tire in a 315. Really like them. Go ahead and get some dynabeads to throw inside to balance them. They are slick off-road if you don't air them down, but once you air down they really dig. I have been impressed with them.

I have an 850J/863 OME lift waiting in the garage, I'm still waiting for the 3* blue bushings and stainless steel brake lines from Slee. Once I get all the parts, I will lift it up. I will also remove the running board unless :princess: stops me from doing that.

No rubbing at all on pavement, I have not tried them yet on the trail.

Thanks. As the posted by cary, keep your tire pressure 38 PSI (that's what I aired them up to), then again it depends on your load. If your heavily loaded in the rear, or pulling trailer then you may want to air them up to 40-42 PSI.

I read your thread and those Hankook Dynapro MT looks pretty good on your truck. In fact' I debated between the NTG and Hankook, I decided to go with the NTG because of price difference. Discounttiredirect offered them to me when I was buying the NTG, but the price of the Hankook were like $178 per tire.

What is a dynabead? Oh by the way, your tires are kinda wearing out on both edges, is that the sign of low pressure tires?

Go to innovativebalancing.com to get these little beads that go inside of your tires to balance them instead of using weights. Cool things are, no weights, and always stay balanced.

Funny about the tire wear in that pic......actually that was the day i drove home from having them mounted. They had put 48 lbs. of air in them; so they were riding in the centers. I aired down to about 34 lbs. and they ride great and wear even. :D

Did you wheel them any without the lift? If so, did they rub any when you got twisted up?
