The downside of such a common question - hundreds of pages of close, almost, not quite search results. I'm helping a friend - just got a 2016 200 - pick a tire. Given the previous good results with BFGs, he's set on the KO2s. But after going through the database and a bunch of searches... I'm unsure of what to recommend.

Here's a twist - the database says the 295/65/18 Goodyears will rub, but the guy at Discount Tire says the 295/65/18 KO2 won't. Usually, the guys at the tire stores are conservative and just say no.

Anyone have experience with a stock 200 and 295/65/18 KO2s? The other "safer" option is the 285/65/18. BFG doesn't make a 70 in the KO2.

Also, I read that the later 200s have larger wheel openings. Does this impact tire clearance - or does the change not impact where they rub?

Thanks!

With stock suspension, stick with 285/65/18. Anything bigger will rub unless you do some cutting. Is friend willing to change the spare tire to match?

What's the spec measurement dimensions of the tire? On stock wheels (offset)? That's the important information to understanding fit.

Well, this just got easy - BFG doesn't make a 295/65/18 KO2. Looks like it'll be the 285/65/18.

The guy at the tire store must've been referring to the Goodyear Duratrac - he mentioned that tire at one point.

Thanks anyway guys!
