285/75 tires at altitude????

We drive our 100 mostly between 7 and 8,000 feet. Are 285/75s going to be too large to push powerwise? I don't want to lose 5mph on a steep grade to gain an inch of clearance. Thanks for any wisdom.
 
I doubt that those tires are going to make a huge difference at that altitude. I live at 7200ft and no problem. I have the stock 275 70 on mine for now.

I have 285/75/16 and performance wise you do not feel any noticeable difference vs stock size other than the odo and speedo being off by about 5.4%, however, I have not tried them at altitude
