This week I swapped out the stock tires and wheels with 34s (Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 285/75R17) and Icon Six Speed 17" wheels with +25 offset. I also added the 3/8" Toyota front spring spacers, which gave me a small boost in front, but not quite as much as I expected (or maybe it did, but with...

Thanks! I knew a fellow TN guy (who is apparently better at search than me) would deliver!
The result and outcome was what I expected, but wanted to be 100%.
Looks like 285/70/17’s fit with both Icons and RW’s especially with the Toyota spacer to help balance the look and eliminate some of the rake, but to run 285/75/17’s you need a proper lift.

No worries! I've been on the 34s vs 33s decision three times now, so that thread is etched in my brain.
Even with a small lift (~2" or so) I still have ended up with 285/70R17s instead of the 285/75s, even though my heart really wants the 285/75s. Our 200 is the family adventure wagon, not a dedicated off-roader, and I've yet to be held back soley because of 1/2" of tire. Also, 285/70/R17s play better with the factory gear ratios. I think they're big enough to avoid the too much lift too little tire "skipped leg day" look.
You could make the bigger tire work, but it may not be worth the hassle, that's your call.
I’m the guy who did it those 34s on stock suspension. If you have questions a let me know. They rubbed like mad, but eventually I got them to a point where they never made any contact.
It’s doable. If you’re not rock crawling you’d probably be ok, but I was worried some major suspension flex would hit my front fender. Keep in mind a lift with IFS doesn’t actually give you any more clearance with a full suspension cycle, it just changes the starting point in the arc so that you’re less likely to make contact under normal circumstances. What I’m saying is that it was maybe just an excuse for me to add the lift I wanted :-D
