I am thinking about getting 285/75/r16 tires for my 2002 100 series? Anyone have any input on this? i want to keep the truck relatively stock, but with a little more aggressive look. Truck has a lot of miles, Would I be advised to just keep the stock tire size on there as well?

I'm running that size with BFG KO2s and a 1" body lift. No rub. Stock 16" alloys.

Put those size tires on my stock (non-lifted) 2002 LC years ago with no rubbing issues whatsoever. Gives it a nice, aggressive look.

The perfect size for the 100 IMO

I ran this size stock for 6 months before my lift went on. No problems or rubbing whatsoever. KO2's are awesome and you can pick them up cheap in that size from Costco. A trick I did was ordered them Costco website and when they arrived I dropped my cruiser off. Never heard a peep about them being larger than stock.

Had mine done at Discount Tire and had to explain that they would fit OK on my LX and in the spare location. Lol, I should have charged a consulting fee.

The size will fit just fine, you'll be happy with the choice. Your speedo/odo will be off afterwards. You may also notice a slight drop in fuel economy, like 1-2mpg depending which tire you get (rolling resistance and extra weight).

I've had 285 Goodyear duratracs on my 2002 for 55k and now they're starting to get loud (slightly cupped tread) I'll likely replace before next winter with either Toyo AT, Falken AT or the new BFG AT. I wish more tires came in a 255....

Those tires sound like they wear like iron!

A buddy has Fierce Attitudes with 20k miles and they look brand new.

Then you see guys barely getting 20k out of Nitto Terra Grapplers

Yeah I wasn't expecting as much life outta these on such a heavy rig either. I don't have a depth gauge but I'd guess there's maybe 1/8" until the wear bars.
