Is this as good a deal as it looks? I haven't researched awnings yet, but I figure I'd want a 270°.

Thanks for talking me off the ledge -I've been watching for a 270 to be on sale again and can't believe I missed this one.

What was the other company that seems to clear them out about once a year, OVS?

I'm not sure, but OVS does have a small sale currently $850 awning -> $775. I think I'll end up with one of the freestanding ones when I buy.

This is quite the bargain. I’ve wanted an awning for awhile, but couldn’t pull the trigger. For ~$400 I can damn well put up with it needing poles. First trip went great. It handled some severe monsoon rain/wind. It is very light and I can mount it to the roof rack by myself easily. Set up and take down are simple. Can easily set up two to three single swags under it, especially with a wall.

I did order a wall. I thought they came in pairs, but only singles. Those things work fantastic. One more wall would have been useful and I’ll definitely order one.

Thank you for pointing this out! I took advantage and got in for the $350 price, looks like they are back up to $730 now. It's already hanging on the rack waiting to be tested.

Sweet, hope it works well for you. I got cold feet when I considered how I could spend that on spark plugs, brakes, or any other parts that I hadn't checked yet. Send a pic of how it works out for you.
