265/70R18 Concerns

Looking for a new set of Tires for my Stock 06 LX470 with 88k miles. I found a set of Tundra wheels Cheap and want to add some AT tires for my LX that is a daily driver, grocery getter. I live in the Midwest in the country and do see gravel roads, Rain and snow.

Looking at what is out there I don't need a E rated tire so P metric should work just fine. No hauling or real off roading.

- 275/65 R18 Seems recommended

But a little taller , skinnier and Cheaper is the 265/70R18

- looking at the Continental TerrainContact A/T in said size.

Any opinions on a 265/70 18 would be great? Thanks

Being a daily Driver I wouldn't think would notice much of a difference Running the Skinnier 265/70R18.

Not a common size, but you can run a 275/70 stock so a 265/70 will be fine.

I have 275/65/18 Revo 2s on mine and have loved Revos on everything I have put them on.

They ride better and perform much better than the Michelan HTs that were on it when it became mine.

I am in STL if you are nearby and want to get a look at them.

Well I ended up buying the Conti's in a SL 4 ply 275/65 R18 for my Tundra wheels. Discount tire price matched them for $180 a tire with free shipping and tax, plus a $100 rebate. So I got them for $620 while the 265/70s would have been $580. Forty bucks for a little wider tire was worth it to me. And the local tire guy only charged $15 a tire for install and balance...

I'll get them on the Rig soon.
