So, learning the hard way to make sure you have all your gaskets. Needed 4 more which will arrive by Wednesday.

I can't wait to drive her again.

Taking the time to clean out the oil carbon from the plentum. Some nasty crap after 184k miles.

No didn't think/consider it. Also is a hot tank too harsh for an aluminum plentum.

Depends on the chemical. Hot Tanking is kinda of a catch all for the same end result. Caustic soda solution for iron and some other detergent agent for aluminum.

Very cool build thread Crispy! I noticed you went 1mm oversize on the cylinder bores. Does Toyota offer a 0.5mm oversize?

That was an option via parts man extraordinaire Beno. I just decided to push it all the way out.

Turned the motor on its side to connect the wire harness. Took extra time to "mend" and spruce up the harness.

Here are a few pictures. You can see the PHH fix. The little bit of oil is from when we charged tge oil pump during assembly.

Looks great! Can't wait to rebuild mine when the time comes.

This was where we left her at 2 am. Final items such as new OEM radiator, air cleaner junk and battery among other things.
