I'm looking for a 24v to 12v converter, but know nothing about these things. I'm only gonna run my VDO gauges and a car stereo from it, so what kinda specs does the converter has to have for this, also anyone know any good trustable brands of converters?

Thanks, Chris

Solar Converters 12/24-20 is the way to go. I've been running my house for several years on one and am putting one in a 13bt conversion on a 60. most efficient thing on the market.

www.backwoodssolar.com has them for the best price i can find. $155.

Thanks Brad!

That is pretty much spot on our Cdn price of $220, plus applicable taxes and shipping, as the dual LED versions are a tad more our cost. There is one GREEN LED to indicate circut board health, and a RED LED that lights up when the batteries are 5% out of trim with each other. There are now 5 dual light converter/equlizers out there being installed/tested.

We are working on an information page at http://www.gscruiserparts.com

They have kits there, I paid around 300 British Pounds, shipping included.

My kit contained, Speedo, Tach, Water temp, Oil press, Fuel gauge. All the senders were included except the sender for the speedo. He also supplied this for 5£.

Check www.ebay.co.uk also, if you get lucky you might find a kit a bit cheaper.
