Hello everyone correct me if I am mistaken but all the threads on this subject are ancient and unclear so I am hoping someone can give me an up to date answer on where/how I can get some updated brighter interior LED lights for the dome light (and any other interior lights) for my 24V HJ61.

both interior roof lights are abysmally weak to the point of uselessness at night.

I would love to just get more light out of the stock locations rather than add an additional layer of extra lights anywhere. But sourcing 24V lights that dont overheat or burn out prematurely is difficult.

use LED's - there are several kinds, but they are very bright and operate on 6-32v.

How do i determine which ones will work or fit? nobody seems to make a ready made kit, and even if i get the part number it doesnt seem like anyone can easily translate that into a bulb that will definitely work.

For example i can find the part number on various websites for the dome light bulb but its usually for a 12V fj60/62. And even if it is for an HJ61 and gives me the part number, putting it into google yields a bunch of original style replacements but no definitively compatible LEDs.

Am i safe to assume almost any LED that fits in any 60 series dome light can handle 24V without overheating or shortened lifespan?

Pretty well all of the 24v lights on my cruiser are LED (except the headlights) - including the signals and brakes, and of course my interior lights. Any bulb that fits the socket seems to work just fine (only brighter).

i have the odd iron stuff on every bulb on my cruiser, buy them its worth it, especially the interior upgrade
but also the side markers are awesome, really light up the trails at night
