I'm converting the 24V setup FJ40 with 12V. The previous wiring was a complete mess so hence decided to go with the 12V swap. It was originally a gas engine and was swapped for a B engine years and years ago.
I got the alternator, starter, glow plugs, wiring harness, gauges, wiper motors all sorted out. Today I was working on the aftermarket air con gear that the previous owner had on it. I just realized I hadn't considered that part in the 12V conversion.
I was wondering if anyone has just swapped out a clutch solenoid instead of replacing the whole unit.
