My stock headl liights are "semi sealed" with 24 V H4 bulbs in them. These have been filled with water a few times and the interior silver coating is flaking off. I am looking at what options I have for replaceing these, most 24V sealed beam units I am sourceing are out of Aus, or NZ, so have the wrong beam patern. Has anyone sourced some LHD 24V halogen sealed beams? or at least semi sealed new ones?

Can you swap them L for R?

Have you looked at headlights off 24 volt trucks, like Hino Isuzu Mitsubishi

Thanks for the ideas, no, can't can't swap l to r, it's the beam pattern of the lamps, both would be identical. I will check out the military lights..

They dont have to be military, most of the larger japanese trucks run on 24 volt and use similar size lights.
You might even find something on tractors and earthmoving equipment

oh Yeah ! get the wallet out spend some worth it bucks$$ you get what you pay for ... Made in USA
the NEW LED 7" round from TRUCK LITE so worth IT !!!
beats all HID out there and does not look like a honda civic blue light...
does not blind people and ... wow!!! lights out the dirt road  very far and wide nothing better outhere yet
got mine from back in Jan 2012 when they new gen first came out from http://www.rebeloffroad.com

The only downside is they do no suck the min req amount of Amps to trigger the Blue Highbeam indicator in the dash meter...

TRUCKLITE Amp draw Low .7 A high 1.4 A each
Hella with 100/90 w 3.2 each
original 75/70 w high 2.6A

OH and you dont need to carry spare bulb... LED will never died

I do not regret it ... I waisted loonies on a pair of HELLA with stronger bulbs prior to them ... they now act as fog lights sometime just to see if they still work lol ...

Any chance you have the model number of the lights you purchased?
