I'm trying to disconnect the part of the wiring harness coming from the engine bay that runs on top of the transmission. Can someone give me some hints on how/where it disconnects?

I have a '90 Pickup with the manual tranny.

TIA

if I remember rite.. there is no quick disconnect... what going on.. removing the trans. or motor?

the connecter ends have tabs you got to push, to release the plug. the conduit loom that the wires are housed in are fastened by a clip that must be either realesed or ripped out.
i reccomend releasing it. the clip lock looks like a 'Z' two parts un snap. a strong thumb nail, or mini screw driver will release it.

Hey Y'all
Not trying to hijack the thread--- BUT--- I just pulled the top of my 22re to do a head gasket. Got po'd at the way the top harness wraps around the intake so I cut the little web between the intake runners out. The one in the middle. Looked to me like the plenum would provide all the stiffness needed there. Think I screwed up?
