22R carb adjustment info please

way out of adjustment.
everyone knows there is enuff vacuum hoses to decorate the great wall of china.

i dont have the diagram for this carburetor and i dont know where all the adjustment screws are. from what i gather different years had different sized mixture screws, resulting in differnt specs.

for example turn clockwise all the way in and back out 2.25 turns.

i breifly looked at the the carb, and that was it. the guy im doing it for hasnt had time for me to fix it, yet. so i just want to gather some info ahead of time.

i plan on hooking up my in/Hg vacuum gauge to the intake manifold to monitor change.

but thats all i got. otherwise ill just poke around in there and do somthing. which reminds me, i need to find me a new poking stick

i switched to efi over a year ago...but i do remember theres a screw to adjust the needle under the top cover of the carb (sucks to get to) but that little guy was notorious for getting clogged...maybe nothing, maybe the source of your headache



maybe the jets are dirty...thats easier, just take the whole mess out and spray it's undercarriage with carb cleaner

or the throttle cable could be too tight
