2025 Trail Ride Calendar Suggestions. (3 Viewers)

This thread is to develop the annual trail ride calendar of monthly trail rides. General things to remember: High mountain trails don't open until late spring or even summer.

The schedule that has been proposed to me so far:

January: Snow run, January 18th or 19th. Shubarth FR307, FR311 and branches. OR Rule Ridge area, FR 357 and branches, 355, 363, 362.

February : Cripple Creek Ice Festival February 22. Travel to Penrose, take Phantom Canyon CO67 to Cripple Creek see Festival, travel Shelf Road to Canon City, return to COS.

March :

April :

May : Bishop’s Castle and exploring the trails in the national Forest to the immediate west. Texas Creek and surrounding trails. 4 Mile area trails and Brown's Canyon trails.

June :

July : Mosquito pass

August : Hancock and Tin Cup passes

September : San Juan trip

October ; Rainbow Falls/ Little Moab

November : China Wall

December : Christmas Tree Cutting area patrols


Please post up your suggestions for trails that you would like drive. I would like to have a schedule set by the first of February. If there is consensus, it gets on the schedule.

Sometime in Sept is the year outing to the San Juans...this past year was great...and later in the month had great colors...

Let's do Rainbow Falls/Little Moab this year. I'd really like to do Mosquito Pass, too.
