I'm planning on spending the first week of July high atop Mt Graham. No 4 wheelin', but should be a tad cooler camping at 9,000' elevation than diein' on the desert floor.

Might see fireworks in the small towns (Pima, Thatcher, Safford) along US-70 on the 4th 🎆

Feel free to stop by if you are in the vicinity

Pix from 2022:

Dont count on seeing fireworks unless its on your way up. Once you hit 9000' you are on the back side of the mountain.

Do you know where you plan to camp?
Hoping to get the same spot at the Clark Peak “Undeveloped” site that I camped at in 2022 (see first link above). This site can see down to the towns along US-70 and I saw some random fireworks prior to the 4th, but on the 4th it was raining and clouded over and couldn’t see the desert floor.

It will probably rain again every day this year too, but it will still be a good time!

Camped for the week.

Ranger said it rained every night for the last five nights.

I was just talking to the daughter and her husband about "cooler" places to camp and get out of the heat yesterday. This was on the list.
