Then don't live in Cali and get out of the vehicle more :p
Trust me, if my wife and I were not soooo attached to the beach (surfing, SUP, snorkeling, diving, sailing, etc.) we'd be out of CA in a New York minute.
We've been to most of the ocean states, both east and west coast that could possibly fit the bill, but for some reason, poor politics seem to follow the most desirable places to live. Yeah, I know Texas, but the surf sucks there. Other than that, My Dad loves it, and my wife doesn't even mind it that much.
I'm hoping after this elections cycle, things get better???

There isn't a prettier more docile beach in the country than along 30A in the Florida panhandle, surf isn't great but the politics, cost of living and overall quality of life are hard to beat. I live near Matagorda, TX, it probably has some of the best surf Texas has to offer and while it can't touch the west coast scene, it's not bad and for the most part is still year round. There isn't a better state overall in the country in terms of local economy, cost of living however is steadily rising, no thanks of course to those fleeing the s***-hole that is the west coast.

Happy here in CA, including the beaches and the politics. I have lived in several "red" and "blue" states. For what is worth, quality of life for my family has always been better in the "blue" states. No problem at all with unhappy people "fleeing" to TX, FL or what every makes them happy. To each their own!

In person, the gray is darker than you think. I was worried it would be a very light gray, but I’m pleased to announce it’s much darker in person than the photos. I really like the contrast to the black interior as so many interiors are all black which I think looks common and boring. In this pic below, the color is several shades darker than depicted. Either way, the contrast is a welcome addition to the all to common black interiors.
