When I purchased my 2019 landcruiser from a toyota dealer it was missing one of the tailgate tool box thing and the dealer can't figure out what was supposed to be there.. I have the tool kit that was located on the passenger side of the tail gate , but what ever was in the identical slot on the drivers side was missing.. Does anyone here have an idea of what I am missing so I have the dealer replace it?

Did the cargo net come in a rectangular box the the jack tools?

The driver’s side is empty for storage. You’re not missing anything.

Concur, you are missing nothing. The Driver side compartment was empty on my brand new 2013.
HTH

I have a 2016 and in the drivers side compartment in the tailgate door is a box that holds the tools to lower or raise the spare tire. The tool kit is on the passenger side as you mentioned.

I could see dealers throwing in the cargo net and stuffing it into the driver side of the tailgate. Mine has a smittybuilt 2733 tire repair kit that fits perfectly, tire gauge, spare schraeder valves and valve stem caps, a valve core puller, flashlight (usually a headlamp but mine have been succombing to the heat), rags, spline lug nut adapter, and a handful of spare lug nuts.

On my 13 the spare lowering tools are in the main tool kit on the pass side along with everything else.

Ditto 👍

I've read that in markets outside of North American, a reflector is there if you're changing a tire or otherwise parked on a highway at night. Samuel Colt rides there in my '13.

I'm not adding anything new or useful, but my '13 has the tools in the right side.

I keep a selection of first aid supplies in the left side.

I thought that was for your “mad” money? Or stuff you wanted the border guys to not find.

I bought some reflectors off of Amazon and keep them there.
