Down to little parts now, need some more of those too. They been ordered. Probably bolt some more of that on over the weekend, parts and hardware depending. Such a sexy engine, I think I like it more than the FTE long block Johns 80 got! 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe I am just bias since we are building this one from the short block up and every single nut, bolt, crush washer, clamp, ect is BRAND NEW! 🤩

Cheers

100% pure Toyota Land Cruiser diesel sexiness! 😋

Cheers

*yes I am spamming this on the forum, why the f€ck not!? Does it get any better than this!? 😳🙄🤷🏼‍♂️

80 coils are taller? Are they the same diameter?

What’s a “DPF” 79? In didn’t realize they changed the radius arms in 2016… whats
different?

I don't want to hijack the thread but yes 80 coils and shocks are 2" taller than the 79. They are not the same diameter either, 80 coils are significantly larger in diameter.

DPF stands for Diesel Particulate Filter, which is an emissions requirement on all diesels sold now. Radius arms have a bend in them to make room for the DPF.

They also had to go for a 5-Star ANCAP crash rating for the mines to continue using them - MY17 and newer got a lot of revisions, especially the single cab. Traction control/ESP, revisions to the chassis etc. along with the DPF, H152 gearbox and interior updates.

Pardon my ignorance, but why is this designed this way? It’s been bugging me and had to ask.

You would need to ask a Toyota engineer. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cheers

Tossed some OME 861/862’s in it now that most of the mounts are made. Ya know, everything up to now has been where we estimate ride height to be.
