Looks fantastic. Not sure what else to say. Moving along nicely.
Very nice work. Very cool.
Except…. Top mount intercooler? Why?
For all the amazing detailed work… and I say this with great respect for the work being performed… it feels like a top mount is a punt.
I’ll stand by my statement.
Top mount heat soak.
But I’m sure it will look clean and sano![]()
have you checked out PDI's front mount intercoolers? I used the one for the first gen HZ powered 75 series. it comes with a ac stuff relocation kit, which you may or may not be able to use in your application.I don’t disagree with front vs top argument. Still any intercooler is generally better than none. As long as EGTs are where they should be,
Can’t always fit a front mount too, not saying that is the case here but go check out our HDJ45 build. Never going to happen on a front mount without major body mods.
Give it time, I am sure you will have more to say.
Cheers
We used a PDI front mount on my other FTE. It was alright. There is still a lot to work out with this build. It’s not going to be “just a top mount intercooler.”have you checked out PDI's front mount intercoolers? It’s a tight fit… but you can fit a front mount in a 40 with a 1HX motor.I don’t disagree with front vs top argument. Still any intercooler is generally better than none. As long as EGTs are where they should be,

No air conditioning… though I think I could fit it.
Continue on! Your work is looking great.

Those mounts are beautiful. Did you make those from scratch, or did you start with something premade?
