Just bought a (new to me) 2017 LX570 and couldn’t help but notice that the front facing camera on the screen seems to be very dark (see picture below). Is this the normal behavior of the system? It doesn’t seem to show on the top-down 360 view.

Is there a way to adjust the camera settings to get a “normal” front view?

That looks normal to me. The top middle has a partially blacked out portion (I don't know why) and the bottom is showing a shadow. The dark corners are your grill. The asphalt in front of the shadows looks to be exposed and displaying correctly. It might be helpful to remember these aren't high dynamic range photosensors so shadows and whites will often appear under/overexposed.

edit: you can access the diagnostic menu by setting the car to on (engine on or off) and rotating the headlight stalk between off and running lights three times while simultaneously holding down the menu button next to your joystick. Once you're in that menu, it gets weird. To get out of that menu, turn the ignition off.

Thank you! Yea, that blacked out portion was the one that looked a bit weird to me but if that’s how it’s supposed to be I’ll roll with it. Thanks again!
