Hello All,

Longtime reader lurking in the shadow but this is my first time posting a thread. So I bought a 2017 LC that was CPO about a month ago and rolled a Platinum $0 deductible warranty into it that goes to 85,000 miles. I wasn't worried about the mechanical components in the vehicle but the electrical system and gadget raise my concerns which turns out are founded. In the 30 days I've have the vehicle twice the nav/entertainment system locked up. The first time I was returning home from a trip with my family and it just froze. I tuned the SAT radio and nothing... volume... nothing. Then all of the sudden the volume went on full blast and at the time did not know about the reset function so I pulled over on the side of the highway to turn the car off. From there everything was fine but the front tweeter and dash speaker started crackling at certain frequencies. I then schedule a visit to the dealership to troubleshoot. Before I can get it to the dealership it happens again! I dropped the vehicle this morning and just got a call from the service tech that they are going to replace the nav/entertainment system and the speakers under warranty.

I love the car and that right there is why I have owned Toyota's since I got out of college and got my first job!

By the way Aaron at Summit did a great job working with me to get the car shipped from NH to SC!

The head unit alone is like $4k. I’m glad Toyota is stepping up.

Dang sorry for the misfortune. Glad they are making it right. Aaron shipped a Sequoia from OK to SC for me a few years ago. Definitely will use him again if the need arises.

Any kind of malfunction is always troubling, I have had good experience with my local Toyota dealer getting issues resolved with Toyota and to me if this were another brand well it could be a warning of bad things to come. Glad they took care of you. Oh and how is this thing $4k for that money we should have gotten an updated head unit a while ago.
