2017 Land Cruiser A Pillar Rattle

Was wondering if anyone might be able to help me out. I recently took delivery of the referenced LC and I have this constant low level plastic rattle sound where the felt interior meets the dash on the drivers side A pillar. If I press on that point of the pillar when driving the sound will go away. It's near the speaker there on the A pillar. Drives me crazy!

Thanks for any guidance on what this rattle might be.

I had a similar sound on my '16 but wasn't able to dampen it by pressing anywhere. It turned out to be the stripping that runs up the side of the windshield at the point where it meets the roof. A clip under that area had come loose. I used some RTV to temporarily fix it though I haven't touched it since and it's still going food.

This may or may not be your issue, but perhaps it's worth looking at.

Please don't use RTV, use a good felt tape, that's what Toyota taught me to use. I prefer 1" wide, apply to anywhere you think the contact point is.

I have a similar rattle on my '11 when it's cold. I searched all over for it, turned out it was the cowling rubbing against the base of the windshield wiper.

Thanks everyone for the leads to go check out. I'll report back if I discover the problem. This is my first LC and I love this machine and this forum.

I posted videos a few years ago, check the plastic strip at the base of the windshield, mine squeezed like crazy. A little graphite lubricant once a year takes care of.

I have it on the passenger side, but only in the winter when it's cold. I had Toyota look at it (there was a TSB for windshield clips) but that wasn't it. Still haven't located it...very annoying.

I had a rattle in my '17 but turned out to be a gem (rock) my 6 year old put in her cup holder in her booster. Was driving me crazy then finally found it.
