I know it's late notice, but I'll be there with a few kids in tow. No Charcoal talk!

Final plans are being made. 220 pounds of Louisiana's finest crawfish have been reserved.
Cottonland also will have 8 cases of cold beers iced down. Of course following @Bodean rule on purchasing beer, we will have most of the lite beers and XX.
Soft drinks, kids dranks and bottled water. We will have chicken nuggets for kiddos and sweets. Also some Smith County watermelons.

If you want to bring something to event dips or sweets will be great.

EVENT will kick off around 2:00 Saturday. May 27, 2017 First bugs on the table by 3:30.
Come on down when you are ready. Tie a brick to your kid's feet and throw them in the pool.
Entertainment will start around 5pm. @wngrog usually heards us for a group pic around 5:30

Cost. Free for Cottonland members and family. Others $15 each. Tips appreciated.

Music and frivolity into the night till the neighbors call the sheriff.

If you are planning on a hotel, follow the link to the hotel in Florence. Michaela will be our uber driver to the hotel. Usually, the Florence Police have a road block that night.
Welcome | Florence Luxury Inn & Suites

It is again being held at the Tolleson Inn in the O73.

Hope everybody can make it down!

They stopped me for a supposed tag light that was out in 2012, first thing out of the cops mouth wasn't, "You have a tag light out" but "Have you been drinking?" I hadn't had one in a few hours so responded with a no. Then he explained about the tag light being out. I told him he was full of it because I know for a fact all lights are working. Got out of the truck and showed him that both tag lights were on and working. He responded with one was out when he saw me drive by. I then informed him that if one was out but one was burning he had no reason to pull me over. Tag has to be illuminated doesn't matter how many bulbs it takes to do it. Was then told to have a good night. Never once asked for my license or proof of insurance.

The wife and I are a tentative if I can get off work. Depends on the weather offshore, won't know for sure until the day before if that's okay. We'd also like to become CLC members and show our faces up there more often. She's understanding more and more of the cruiser culture after meeting @Beastiethe70 at Overland Expo last week!

Anyone know of a decently close place to pop up the tent for the night?

Don't say pop a tent too loud, Charcoal might get excited

The road to the boil!! It's been a fun adventure so far making my way to Jackson. Even stopped in Mexico! Although Beastie was stuck in the US as I forged the Rio Grande in search of a different culture and the best tacos I've ever had!
