2016 lc200 sahara - Reverse camera Black out

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone could help. I have a 2016 sahara and have recently added an Android unit.

When trying to access the factory cameras (in reverse or the manual button) i am just getting a black screen. Cameras were working fine previously.

If anyone could shed some light on this issue that would be amazing.

I can’t help technically but what android unit do you have (purchased from what company)?

Does your Android head unit have a digital receiver for the camera? The OEM camera's signal output is digital, not analog.

Lc camera output to original Hu is digital not analog. This looks like it won't work.

Lc camera output is digital. You need a digital to analog converter if your camera input is Rca like the picture above. Otherwise you will need to tap into the parking ECU and pickup the analog signal coming in from the camera and send a signal from the reverse to excite he camera. But then you won't have the parking assist guidelines which are overlaid by the ECU.
