2015 LX570 AS Tire Suggestions?

I live in Dubai, where it's always summer. On my third OEM Dunlop Grandtrek PT2A 285/50R20 set at 140,000km, and it's currently due for another change due to dry rot and too many punctures. Needless to say, I'm ready to try another brand.

Michelin Latitude Tour HP - $955
Bridgestone Alenza 001 - $750
Bridgestone Dueler H/P Sport - $750
Pirelli SC Verde A/S - $725

I'm torn between Pirelli Scorpion Verde AS, Michelin Latitude Tour HP, and the Bridgestone Alenza 001. The Bridgestones and Pirellis seem to have the highest UTQG rating.

What I'm looking for is mainly longevity, handling, and comfort. I drive on-road 99% of the time. I hope to get at least 4-5 years out of my next set. What would you recommend?

I am not sure if you have the Michelin Defender available but that is suppose to be a great tire.

I have a 2013 lexus lx 570. it currently has the latitude on the 20 inch factory oem. The tires were put on new by previous owner. I have 30,000 miles and they have been quiet and performed well for on road use. They are wearing evenly. They are currently at 6/32 inch. so, they have plenty of life left.

Unfortunately, Michelin Defenders don’t seem to be sold here. Also it’s odd that only A/S tires are sold here and no summer tires for one of the hottest countries.

Regardless, I have been recommended Latitude Tour HPs by a lot of people, despite them only having a UTQG of 440 compared to 600 for the others and also costing the most. But 30,000 miles is more than any Dunlop set I’ve had.

Do you notice any dry rot?

The current tires are only about 3 years old. No dry rotting but our temperatures but our temperatures are mild in comparison. Michelin had dry rotting issues about 8 years ago on some of their product lines but have changed their compounds.

On my acura (other car), about 7 years, a set of Michelin did dry rot but I called Michelin corporate office and they gave me a 70 percent discount. I had the tires for 5.5 years and they have a 6 year dry rot warranty. So, they are great about standing behind their product. after, that great experience, my family buys michellin.
