6/16/15 Update:

Bolam Pass and returning up Scotch Creek/Hotel Draw.

Meeting Saturday 6/20 - 8am @ Doughworks. Family friendly event as always.

These trails are normally suited for stock vehicles however current snow conditions will dictate difficulty. Please bring a snow shovel, tow strap, and chains if you have them. This could turn out to be a rather short out and back trip or an interesting day of recoveries. Snow reports have been mixed. Have proper clothing and footwear for wet conditions.

Current attendees:

Corbet
Clayton
Steve P
Jeremiah

Come on down to the Glade!

It's one of the final walls on Gladiator Trail, down in Farmington/The Glade/Chokecherry.

Now that Cruise Moab 2015 is over I'm bringing this back to the top.

I'd like to organize an overnight outing again this year but need someone else to help take the lead on this. I'm currently dealing with an out of state family member in the hospital and may end up having to leave at a moments notice to help out. It could fall on Father's Day Weekend.

I keep looking south to the 505 for a snowless venue. Not sure what the recent storms have done up high in the San Juans. Something within one tank of fuel would probably be best for the group based on time. (I'm assuming)

Post up your thoughts.

I'm up for whatever. Steve, Clayton, Chris and I will be heading down to Chokecherry tomorrow morning @ 9. That's June 6th.

Never been to comb ridge, how is that?

as of right now it's looking like Saturday the 20th is the planned day for the run. We discussed Scotch Creek and Hotel Draw as the tentative venue pending snow conditions. Could be a fun day of snow bashing and recovery.

Saturday 6/20. 8am meet at Doughworks on North Main, Durango.

Route: Bolam Pass from Purg, returning up Scotch Creek & Hotel Draw to make a loop.

Snow travel is to be expected. Bring a snow shovel, tow strap and tire chains if you have them. Please have a full tank of fuel before meetin time. This route is generally very easy for a stock vehicle. Snow will be the variable of difficulty this weekend.

CB channel 14 or 146.460 on the HAM.

IN!

Nope. Damn.

We're going. Family is camping Friday night, same spot on Lime Creek as last year. I'll meet you all at DMR around 9. If anyone wants to camp let me know and I'll give you directions.

In see you at Doughworks.

What now?

Snatch block to tree on left side of road to your rear driver side of back bumper, to keep you from sliding further into the woods.

That was the sketchiest recover of the day. I think. There were so many...
