2014 Dash Light ID (Thanks IN Advance)

2014 Cruiser, this dash light comes on periodically. I power down and back up, it goes away. No big deal......I hope. Thanks Rob

That is your center diff lock indicator. When you start the truck it does a diagnostic on the CDL and if it doesn’t operate as expected it’ll flash that light.

It isn’t very important unless you are doing hard trails off road, but the light can get annoying. Teckis put together a thread on rehabbing the actuator.. alternately you can try to exercise it periodically (similar looking button near your left knee) or maybe try different transfer case fluid depending on what was put into yours. Some people run cheaper 75w-90 but a few people seem to report less errors running the thinner 75w specified for 2010+ rigs.

Note that you do NOT want to drive on dry roads with your CDL engaged. This couples the front and rear axles together and puts huge loads on the drivetrain when taking turns.
